Graphic Design
The art of creating visual content to communicate messages.
What is an Infographic?
Tools: Canva, Acrobat Pro, Google Drive
My role: SME, instructional designer, and developer
Client: Instructional Design Department at a private university in San Juan, PR.
Problem: Instructional designers were designing infographics that contain excessive information or appear more like digital posters. It is a common issue that needs to be addressed to improve these educational resources' effectiveness.
Solution: The product is an infographic itself. It identifies the essential elements of an infographic, such as a clear title, concise text, and engaging visuals.
Result: It was included as a quick reference guide.
Breakfast menu
Tools: Canva, Word, Google Drive
My role: Graphic designer
Client: Mr. Dennis Darr - Owner and chef at Alice Bakery and Confectionary. Located in North Wales, PA.
Problem: After the Pandemic, Mr. Darr faced continuous changes in the cost and availability of products. He was using masking tape to cover the old prices and no longer available options for breakfast. He wanted to keep the original design and colors but had no digital files.
Solution: Using the original hard copy, I replicated a menu with the actual breakfast options and prices. I provided Mr. Darr with digital files and an editable file to update the menu whenever necessary.
Result: Mr. Darr was delighted with the outcome and used it to create laminated menus for the tables and two large posters for the windows.
The client granted permission to use it in my portfolio.
